Film Script Writing, Film Institutes in India - ISFM - Annapurna International School of Film and Media

Script Lab

This course is aimed at amateur writers who have developed 4 page stories and want to develop them into full blown treatments. Students will be taken through the entire process of turning these four page stories into 25 page treatments under professional guidance.

We all have stories. Scribbled on scraps of paper or notebooks. Stored in word files or email drafts. Or just floating around in the back of our heads.

We know that these stories will make fantastic films, TV shows or plays. But somehow, we never take them to the next level. We tell ourselves: today there’s no time… I’ll do it one day. And so the stories remain as scattered fragments of thought.

Now, it’s time to be honest with yourself – you have no idea how to turn your idea into a great script. If scriptwriting was easy, everyone would be writing great scripts. Instead most people remain stuck at the idea stage, forever.

Fear not, ISFM will help you convert your concept into a real story with our new film script writing course. Developed especially for people who are working or studying full time, this course runs on Saturday and Sunday for four weeks.

Typically, Script Labs that teach film script writing are aimed at experienced writers, and are highly selective with their entry – requiring complete scripts as examples of your work. At ISFM, for the first time in India, we are offering this experience to new writers.

This course is also a great option for students who have completed our film appreciation or film editing courses and are now interested in exploring the film script writing process.
